THE FOUNDER
Lino Boschetto – Legnago (VR) 10/05/1938
Risiede in San Giovanni Lupatoto (VR)
He made his debut in the artistic glass field in 1952 in the workshop of Maestro Scipione Ballardini in Verona, together with Albano Poli and Salvatore Cavallini.
He worked with Maestro and painter Pino Casarini to set-up decorated glass in the Trento and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions and the Monastery of Santa Chiara in Naples. He also worked with Maestro M. Zoppi in the same fields.
Later on, in 1967 he was employed by Poliarte Co. in Verona.
After continual improvements in technical skills and "craftsmanship", he undertook a new route by setting up his own company "Gibo" in 1974.
His great love for blown glass and its magical play of light and colour saw Boschetto, together with his children Stefano and Caterina and his brother Giorgio, undertake major new works and restoration projects in the most famous churches of Italy.
He worked at San Zeno Maggiore in Verona, San Fermo Maggiore, the Basilica of the Saint in Padua, St. Mark's Basilica in Venice and the Basilica of Saints John and Paul, again in Venice.
He worked in Rome in the churches of San Tito (EUR district) and San Barnaba, in Monte Carlo on the Church of Fontvielle and the Church of Nostra Signora della Salute (Turin).
Having consolidated his artistic glass operations, Boschetto began working with the leading Masters of the Holy Arts of the time, such as Painter Federico Bellomi (VR), Maestro Painter Lino Dinetto (TV), Maestro Painter Arrigo Poz (UD), Painter Oscar Piattella (PS), Painter George Oikonomoy (GREECE), Painter Carlo Rapp (MI), Painter Luigi Scappini (VR), Painter-Sculptor Edoardo Ferrari (BS), Painter-Sculptor Livio Conta (TN) and others too many to mention here.
In 1998, he decided to split with his brother to continue operations with his son Stefano and set up the Stebo company.
1998 saw the foundation of "Stebo" and Stefano Boschetto, by now boasting twenty years of experience and relying on the support of his father Lino, thereafter achieved successes that rapidly took the company to the forefront of the Holy Arts sector all over the world.
The meeting with Soffiati Romano in 2005 was followed by the decision to join forces and set up the current company "Stebo S.n.c." di Boschetto & Soffiati - and the rest is the history of recent times.
